Filling the 'Hopeful' Bucket

The crocuses and daffodils are blooming, green is returning to the landscape, and the air is warming. My soul feels lighter and more hopeful, even as world chaos floods the news.

Positive feelings fill my ‘hopeful bucket’ as I witness my clients making progress on their organizing, decluttering, habit changes, and life goals. I’m grateful to be part of their journeys and admire their determination and vulnerability.

Hope grows as I learn to make small shifts for better emotional health. I’ve been taking a series of interactive workshops led by psychologist and author Dr. Elisha Goldstein. Practicing these shifts- such as recognizing unhelpful loops, pausing, breathing, or accessing inner wisdom- can transform your stress response, improve your relationships, and increase your longevity. I highly recommend Elisha’s new book, Tiny Shifts, along with any opportunity you have to learn from him.

I’m feeling especially hopeful for today, tomorrow, and the future. I’m excited that three of my beautiful nieces are having babies this year. Our family is expanding and bringing a new generation into the world that we get to shower with love.

What feels hopeful for you in this moment?
